A LITTLE HELP, IF YOU NEED IT.
Got a question?
A few useful answers, so you can get back out there.
How does Daily Discomfort work?
Answer a few questions about your comfort zone and interests. Each day, open the app for a personalized quest. Tap I’M IN when you want to do it, then DONE when you come back.
Choose how it felt and tap THAT’S IT to save the experience. You can also record that you skipped it. Adding a photo is optional.
Can I change today’s quest?
Before completing it, tap CAN’T DO IT on Today. Choose GIVE ME A DIFFERENT ONE for a replacement, or SAVE FOR LATER to set this one aside and get another. NEVER MIND keeps your current quest.
You can replace a quest up to three times per day. There’s a new quest tomorrow; skipping is allowed.
Where are my saved-for-later quests?
Save for Later keeps a record that you set a quest aside without treating it as a skip. There is currently no saved-quest browsing screen.
The quest can come up again through normal daily selection. When it does, it is no longer marked as saved. Saving a quest does not schedule it for a particular day.
How do photos and permissions work?
After choosing a reflection, tap ADD PHOTO to take a photo or choose one from your library. Camera access is requested only when you choose to take a photo. The library picker shares the photo you select.
Tap THAT’S IT to keep the photo with the experience. In Experiences, open a saved photo and choose SAVE TO PHOTOS to export a separate copy. This requests permission to add to your Photos library.
If permission is denied, you can continue without a photo. Review camera or photo permissions for Daily Discomfort in iOS Settings if you want to change your choice.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Experiences → Settings → RESET PROGRESS and confirm. This clears your experience history, reflections, daily assignments, saved or replaced quests, and app-owned saved experience photos.
Your comfort answers, interests, and appearance preference stay. Photos already exported to your Photos library and backups are not deleted. This reset cannot be undone in the app.
How do I restart onboarding?
Open Experiences → Settings → RESET ONBOARDING and confirm. This clears your setup answers and starts onboarding again.
Your existing experiences, saved photos, daily assignments, and appearance preference stay. Reset Onboarding is different from Reset Progress.
Something isn’t loading or saving. What should I try?
If the app shows a history error, tap TRY AGAIN. A failed history read does not authorize the app to overwrite saved experiences. If a reflection fails to save, your answers remain on that screen so you can try again.
Check available device storage if saving or copying photos fails. A photo stored only in iCloud may need a connection before the system picker can retrieve it.
If Today still shows yesterday’s quest, open Experiences and return to Today. For other problems, reopening the app may help, but unsaved reflection answers can be lost. Avoid resetting or deleting the app as a first troubleshooting step.
The app does not offer cloud backup, account recovery, or cross-device syncing. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version, and steps that led to the problem when reporting an issue. Leave out private photos or other sensitive information unless needed.
